Lighting LED Kessil AP9X for reef aquarium

The Kessil AP9X is a high-power flat LED lighting fixture designed for marine reef aquariums. With a maximum power of 185 W, it offers a wide coverage area and an adjustable light spectrum promoting the growth and coloration of corals.

Spectrum and Light Performance

The spectrum of the AP9X is based on the Tuna Blue spectrum, complemented by individually adjustable color channels: red, green, and violet (violet + indigo). Kessil Logic technology ensures consistent output across the spectrum, regardless of the color combinations selected.

The fixture also integrates LEDs emitting UVA light at 395 nm, contributing to optimal coral coloration.

Coverage and Dense Matrix Technology

Thanks to the patented Dense Matrix LED technology, the light components are concentrated on a single surface, offering uniform, powerful, and penetrating light while reducing shadow areas.

The recommended light coverage is 120 x 60 cm for a mixed reef aquarium and 90 x 60 cm for an SPS-dominated aquarium.

Control and Connectivity

The Kessil AP9X can be controlled in multiple ways: via the integrated touch control, through WiFi using the Kessil app (iOS / Android), or via K-Link digital communication. Up to 32 AP9X fixtures can be controlled simultaneously.

It is also compatible with Neptune's APEX app via the WiFi Dongle, allowing full integration into the Neptune system and centralized control.

Lighting Modes

Several modes are available, including manual adjustment of intensity and color, a Quick Set mode for creating day/night cycles, an acclimation mode for the gradual introduction of new corals, and a lunar cycle mode simulating the natural phases of the moon.

Thermal Management and Design

The fixture features a next-generation heat sink and an efficient helical fan. The exhaust vents on both sides limit dust accumulation and help extend the fixture's lifespan while maintaining optimal efficiency.
