Chaetodontoplus duboulayi, also known as the ornate angelfish, is a spectacular species originating from the Western Pacific. This fish displays an intense and contrasting coloration, combining electric blue, bright yellow, and deep black, with a characteristic eye spot at the back of the body. Our specimens measure between 4 and 6 cm and come from responsible breeding at Bali Aquarich.
This angelfish from the Pomacanthidae family features a dark blue face mask striped with yellow, a dark body with spotted sides, and striking yellow fins edged with blue. Its elongated silhouette and elegant movements make it a true jewel for large reef aquariums.
Chaetodontoplus duboulayi is territorial and assertive. It can be kept alone or in pairs in an aquarium of at least 500 liters. It cohabits with other robust and dynamic fish but can be aggressive towards other angelfish or similarly shaped species.
It is incompatible with corals: it may peck at polyps, LPS, clams, and sponges. Therefore, it is best suited for a fish-only or fish-dominant tank.
This fish is bred at Bali Aquarich, a globally recognized marine aquaculture center known for its rigor, innovation, and the health quality of its animals. The environment is tropical, natural, pollution-free, and the fish are bred in mesocosm in modern facilities (open and closed systems).
The specimens are robust, acclimated to captivity, disease-free, and fed from a young age with inert foods suitable for their growth.
This fish quickly accepts a varied diet rich in proteins and vegetables. A daily diverse feeding regimen enhances its coloration and immunity.
Chaetodontoplus duboulayi is an exceptional species for experienced aquarists. Thanks to controlled breeding and rigorous acclimatization, you can enjoy a rare, healthy angelfish ready to shine in your marine aquarium.
