Amphiprion sebae is a rare and robust clownfish species, recognizable by its dark coloration with thick, slanted white bands. With its slightly elongated shape and assertive behavior, it is particularly appreciated by experienced aquarists looking for a less common clownfish. Our specimens measure about 4 to 5 cm and are bred by the professional Bali Aquarich facility.
The sebae clownfish has a brown to black body depending on the individual, with two thick white bands (one of which is often slanted backward), and sometimes a yellowish tint on the caudal fin. This marked contrast gives it an elegant appearance, while asserting its individuality compared to more common species.
Amphiprion sebae is territorial, but sociable under good conditions. It can live alone, in pairs, or in a well-structured community tank. It can coexist with calm to moderately active fish, invertebrates, and all types of corals.
It develops a strong symbiotic relationship with a Stichodactyla haddoni anemone (carpet anemone), but can also adopt an Entacmaea quadricolor or a soft coral as a refuge if no anemone is present.
This specimen is bred by Bali Aquarich, one of the largest marine aquaculture centers in the world. Located in Bali, this farm benefits from a stable tropical climate, pure seawater, and advanced technical facilities. Since 2004, Bali Aquarich has been recognized for producing healthy, colorful, and disease-free aquarium fish, without any wild collection.
Amphiprion sebae are raised in a controlled environment, fed from the early days with inert food, and prepared for rapid and stable acclimatization in reef aquariums.
This fish requires an aquarium of at least 100 liters, well-oxygenated, with hiding spots and a clear territory. It appreciates a structured rocky decor, moderate water flow, and stable water. It adapts well to mature environments.
Amphiprion sebae is a clownfish with a strong character and marked aesthetics, ideal for passionate aquarists wishing to introduce a rare, elegant, and responsibly bred clown into their reef tank.
