A Spectacular Clownfish
The Black Gladiator stands out with its bulkier size compared to the classic Amphiprion ocellaris, while maintaining a calm and stable demeanor. Its black and white contrasts give it a noble and striking appearance that immediately catches the eye in a reef tank.
Behavior and Compatibility
This clownfish can live alone but thrives in pairs, which it will naturally form if two young individuals are kept together. It is compatible with corals, peaceful invertebrates, and non-aggressive fish. Even without an anemone, it will sometimes adopt a Euphyllia or a Rhodactis as a substitute refuge.
A French-Bred Fish by ACDP
The specimens offered here are from the French breeding facility ACDP (Au Cœur Du Poisson), based in Hérault. Founded in 2016 by Julie and Vincent, the company is now a reference in responsible marine aquaculture. ACDP successfully breeds over 60 pairs of clownfish, including this rare and well-managed morph of the Black Gladiator.
Their expertise results in fish perfectly adapted to aquarium life, fed with pellets and artemia from an early age, and free from parasites. ACDP is a committed player in the sustainable reproduction of tropical marine fish in France.
