Description
Years of development, MICROBE-LIFT / Gravel & Substrate Cleaner accelerates the biological decomposition of slow-degrading organic waste from aquarium bottoms that can become toxic to fish and plants.
As organic waste accumulates at the bottom of the aquarium, it begins to decompose, releasing toxic gases and by-products into the surrounding environment. These gaseous by-products endanger fish, marine life, and plants.
Benefits
MICROBE-LIFT / Gravel & Substrate Cleaner biologically degrades bottom organic waste and sludge with minimal disturbance, reducing or eliminating potentially harmful gaseous compounds, and helps to clarify your aquarium water at the same time.
MICROBE-LIFT / Gravel & Substrate Cleaner contains natural cellulosic matter, selected biological accelerators, and special microbes proven to be effective in reducing aquarium sludge.
MICROBE-LIFT / Gravel & Substrate Cleaner will also help to clarify dirty aquarium water.
Recommended for use with all MICROBE-LIFT bacteria and enzyme products.
The MICROBE-LIFT / Gravel & Substrate Cleaner will discolor your aquarium water for 48 to 96 hours after application.
This product is black in color and may slightly tint your aquarium water. Do not worry. The active ingredient is a natural product and will help to clarify the water as well as digest organic matter in the aquarium.

Precautions
- Keep out of reach of children
- Follow instructions carefully
- Avoid contact with skin or eyes. In case of contact, rinse the area thoroughly with cold water.
Usage
- For substrate with 1/4 inch or more of solid accumulation, apply 2 tsp. (10 ml.) of MICROBE-LIFT / Gravel & Substrate Cleaner per 10 gal. (38L) of tank water.
- Use as directed every two weeks until the substrate is clean, then follow the substrate maintenance dosage schedule below.
- Substrate Maintenance: For substrate with less than 1/4 inch of solid accumulation, apply 1 tsp. (5 ml.) of MICROBE-LIFT / Gravel & Substrate Cleaner per 10 gal. (38 L) of tank water.
- Use as directed once a month.
- If accumulation exceeds 1/4 inch, follow the substrate cleaning dosage schedule.
