Description
HI7061L is a general-purpose cleaning solution that can be used for a variety of applications. Electrodes can become dirty during use, leading to inaccurate results. Cleaning solutions Hanna remove impurities and residues from the electrode surface, which form during measurement or when it is not stored properly. It is advisable to regularly clean the bulb and the porous septum of the electrode to prevent blockages and obtain accurate measurements.
Information
The most common cause of inaccurate pH measurements is a dirty or improperly cleaned electrode. This is very important because during calibration, the instrument assumes that the electrode is clean and that the calibration curve created during calibration will remain a valid reference until the next calibration. The pH meters available on the market today have an offset value of about ± 60 mV, with the deviation not exceeding ± 30 mV. Calibration compensates for the change in offset value. If the mV offset continues to drift and the meter is calibrated with a dirty electrode, the readings will be inaccurate.
