A branching SPS coral with bright red color
The Red Montipora digitata S is an SPS coral appreciated by aquarists for its fast growth and intense red hue. With its thin and slender branches, it brings dynamic structure and contrast to a reef aquarium.
A robust and easy-to-maintain coral
This Montipora digitata is known for its rapid growth and resistance to moderate variations in water parameters. It easily adapts to well-established reef environments and is suitable for both experienced aquarists and beginners wishing to start with SPS corals.
Ideal conditions for optimal growth
Lighting and water flow
To maintain its intense red color and promote balanced growth, moderate to strong lighting is recommended, with an intensity around 200-250 PAR. Medium to strong water flow is also essential to prevent sediment buildup and ensure good oxygenation of the coral's tissues.
Water parameters
Like all SPS corals, the Red Montipora digitata S requires stable and well-balanced water:
- Temperature: 24-26°C (75-79°F)
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0 - 8.4
- KH: 7-10 dKH
- Calcium: 400-450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250-1350 ppm
- Nitrates: between 2 and 10 mg/L for optimal coloration
- Phosphates: between 0.02 and 0.08 mg/L

très beau corail, encroûtant à croissance rapide même sans supplémentation. Couleur très prononcée en lumière bleu, le squelette présente même une très légère coloration verte pâle quand il est bien placé !
