Linckia laevigata, better known as the blue starfish, is a spectacular and highly sought-after species in marine aquariums. It is distinguished by its five cylindrical arms and its intense blue to sky blue color, which varies slightly depending on the lighting and health of the animal. It is a true living jewel that will bring a unique touch to your reef aquarium.
A demanding but fascinating starfish
This species is known for its sensitivity: it does not like parameter variations nor high levels of phosphates (PO4). Therefore, it requires a very stable and well-cycled aquarium. Its maintenance is reserved for aquarists with good experience, capable of ensuring optimal water conditions.
It primarily feeds on the biofilm present on live rocks, as well as mussels and other microorganisms naturally found in mature tanks. It is essential to have a decor rich in live rocks so that it can find sufficient resources to feed on.

Une merveille!
Très beau spécimen de linckia, les couleurs sont au rendez vous! Elle est assez grosse (environ 12 cm de diamètre) elle travail la nuit et se cache le jour. Elle est en pleine forme je l'ai depuis 1 semaine. J'EN SUIS HYPER CONTENT!
