Ammonium (NH4) is a compound resulting from the degradation of organic waste in the aquarium. It is an integral part of the nitrogen cycle and should normally be transformed into nitrites, then into nitrates through the action of nitrifying bacteria.
When this transformation does not occur correctly, it indicates a malfunction in the nitrification process and a biological imbalance in the aquarium. Regular monitoring of NH4 is therefore essential, especially when starting an aquarium or after a disturbance in the tank.
Colorimetric test for ammonium (NH4).
Essential for monitoring the nitrogen cycle.
Suitable for aquariums and ponds.
Visual reading by color comparison.
Two 10 ml bottles of test reagent, a measuring test tube, a color scale, and instructions for use.
Collect a water sample using the provided test tube, add the reagent according to the instructions, then compare the resulting color to the color scale to determine the ammonium concentration.
Keep out of reach of children. Dangerous. Strictly follow the safety precautions indicated on the packaging.
