Phosphate (PO4) is produced from the breakdown of organic matter such as food remnants and fish waste. An excessive concentration of phosphates can promote algae growth and unbalance the aquarium.
Although it is preferable to keep PO4 values as low as possible, concentrations up to 0.5 mg/L remain tolerable. However, phosphate tends to form slightly soluble salts that accumulate in the bottom sludge. Regular maintenance of the substrate is therefore recommended.
Colorimetric test for phosphates (PO4).
Aids in preventing algae proliferation.
Suitable for aquariums and ponds.
Visual reading by color comparison.
Reagent for about 40 tests, a measuring test tube, a color scale, and an instruction manual.
Take a water sample using the provided test tube, add the reagent according to the instructions, then compare the obtained coloration to the color scale to determine the phosphate concentration.
Keep out of reach of children. Dangerous. Strictly follow the safety precautions indicated on the packaging.
