The JBL PROAQUATEST O2 REFILL is a quick test that determines the current dissolved oxygen content in aquarium water. It helps quickly identify any potential lack of oxygen and decide if aeration measures need to be implemented.
Measured parameter: dissolved oxygen (O2).
Use: aquarium aeration control.
Method: colorimetric test by adding reagents.
Capacity: contains enough for approximately 40 measurements.
Fill the test tube with the water to be tested, add the provided reagents, then compare the resulting color with the color chart. The test shows a clear color change, from yellow to dark red, facilitating result interpretation.
The test is recommended during a new water setup, with a weekly check, and in cases showing signs of a possible lack of oxygen in the aquarium.
JBL PROAQUATEST O2 refill including a quick test with three reagents, a syringe, a glass test tube with a screw cap, and a color chart. Reagent refills are available separately.
Conduct the measurement with a clean test tube and read the results under good lighting conditions. Carefully close the bottles after use and store the test in a dry place to ensure reliable readings.
Regular monitoring of dissolved oxygen helps anticipate problems related to insufficient aeration and maintain a stable environment in the aquarium.
