JBL CO2/pH Permanent Test-Set Refill

This refill is intended for the JBL CO2/pH Permanent Test-Set. It allows for the continuous measurement of dissolved carbon dioxide in the aquarium water.

Measurement Function

The refill allows for direct measurement of CO2 content expressed in mg/l. The optimal measurement range indicated is between 20 and 25 mg/l.

pH Indication

The test also shows the pH value within a range of 6.4 to 7.8.

Operating Principle

The special indicator measures the CO2 content independently of substances influencing the pH, such as humic acids or nitrates.

The pH indication is reliable only when no pH-altering substances have been added to the aquarium, such as pH-Minus products or peat.

Usage Duration

The indicator liquid should be replaced every 3 to 4 weeks. The total usage duration of the refill is between 9 and 12 months.
