The JBL PROAQUATEST Ca REFILL is a test kit designed to determine the calcium (Ca) content in aquarium water. Calcium is a key parameter for the construction of the calcareous skeleton and maintaining healthy and vigorous coral growth.
Measured parameter: calcium (Ca).
Use: monitoring water parameters in aquariums.
Method: test by adding reagents and counting drops until color change.
Calculation: number of drops x 20 = Ca content.
Fill the test tube with the water to be tested, add the reagents according to the protocol, then count the number of drops until color change. The calcium content is determined by a simple calculation: the number of drops multiplied by 20 corresponds to the Ca level.
The number of measurements possible depends on the level of calcium content measured, based on the amount of reagents needed to achieve color change.
A calcium (Ca) test kit including three reagents, a plastic test tube, a syringe, and a measuring spoon. Reagent refills are available separately.
Perform the test with clean equipment and rinse the test tube after use. Carefully close the reagents and store the kit in a clean, dry place to maintain stable and reproducible measurements.
Regular calcium monitoring allows for the adjustment of coral maintenance in the aquarium and tracking the stability of parameters essential to their growth.
