What to do when the level is too high?

Risks: darkening of corals, proliferation of harmful algae, over-fertilization with organic deposits.

Measures: gradually reduce the iron concentration through regular partial water changes, filtration using zeolite or special media (biopolymers, activated carbon), check the effectiveness of skimming (optimal value: non-detectable to very low traces, < 0.05 µg/L).

What to do when the level is too low?

Risks: faded colors (especially greens), slowed coral growth, limitation of photosynthetic and enzymatic processes.

Measures: gradually increase using Elementals Trace Fe (e.g., 11.2 mL spread over 2 days with Balling Light), monitor the color and repeat until vibrant colors are achieved (aim for low detectable trace around 0.01–0.05 µg/L).
