SEACHEM

Composition and Principle

SeaGel is a balanced blend of 50% MatrixCarbon and 50% PhosGuard. MatrixCarbon is a high-capacity activated carbon designed to remove organic impurities and colored compounds. PhosGuard is a powerful media designed to remove phosphates, silicates, toxic metals, and acids.

Both components are shaped into beads to optimize water flow, penetration, and overall media efficiency.

Recommended Use

Use 250 ml for every 150 to 225 liters of water.

Place the media to maximize water flow through it.

Use in a suitable filter bag, such as the Seachem Zip Bag.

Rinse with freshwater before use.

Upon first wetting, the product may fizz and heat slightly.

Duration of Use

SeaGel typically works for 3 to 4 months, depending on the organic load and tank parameters.

Impact on Trace Elements

The carbon used in SeaGel has a limited impact on trace elements. The removal of these elements remains low and insignificant under normal usage conditions.
