Rowa Phos D&D 100 g – High-Performance Anti-Phosphate Resin

Rowa Phos is a highly active filtration material, known for removing more phosphates than any other commercially available anti-phosphate. It is designed to maintain very low phosphate levels, essential for the stability of freshwater and marine aquariums.

Since phosphates are a major source of algae and cyanobacteria proliferation, the regular use of an effective anti-phosphate resin is essential, especially in reef marine aquariums.

Targeted Action and Safe Use

Rowa Phos effectively adsorbs phosphates, as well as silicates and arsenic. Once saturated, the resin does not release any chemicals back into the water, ensuring safe use in the long term.

Longevity tests have demonstrated the total absence of release even after several years of continuous use.

Recommended Usage

For lasting results, the resin should be used continuously and replaced regularly, usually every 1 to 2 months depending on the phosphate load. Sporadic use does not maintain low levels sustainably.

In reef aquariums, it is recommended to maintain a phosphate level below 0.015 ppm. In freshwater aquariums, slightly higher values can be tolerated.

Monitoring Parameters

It is advisable to regularly measure the phosphate level to monitor the resin's effectiveness. When the values rise, the resin should be replaced.

Note, many standard phosphate tests do not detect the very low concentrations necessary in reef aquariums.
