Principle and Design
MatrixCarbon is a unique activated carbon, formed into spherical beads to ensure optimal hydrodynamics. This design prevents compacting and water channeling, guaranteeing uniform contact between water and the macroporous adsorption sites.
Its macroporous structure is specifically adapted for the removal of large organic molecules, including nitrogenous waste, while limiting the excessive extraction of trace elements.

Impact on pH and Phosphates
Thanks to its low ash content, MatrixCarbon has a negligible impact on the water's pH. Even in distilled water, it does not cause the pH to rise above 7.0.
Although all activated carbons naturally contain phosphate, MatrixCarbon stands out for its extremely low release, achieved through an advanced washing process that effectively removes residual ash.
Recommended Use
250 ml treats approximately 400 liters of water for several months.
Recommended use in a suitable filter bag.
Rinse before use.
Place in a high-flow area for maximum efficiency.
Compatibility
MatrixCarbon is compatible with cartridge filters, chemical filtration modules, canister filters, and high-flow areas of trickle filters. It is suitable for reef aquariums as well as marine and freshwater tanks.
Duration
Depending on the organic load of the tank, the usage duration generally ranges from 3 to 6 months. Highly loaded water will reduce the duration of effectiveness, while less loaded water will allow for extended use.
