Substrate Cleaner is a specially formulated bacterial blend made from purely biological ingredients to ensure the natural breakdown of sludge, detritus, and organic waste present in the substrate and rocks of marine and freshwater aquariums.
Product Type: Biological bacteria for substrate and rocks.
Formulation: Biological ingredients with natural mangrove mud.
Compatibility: Marine and freshwater aquarium.
Usage: Biological cleaning and ongoing maintenance.
Substrate Cleaner acts directly at the core of the substrate and on rocky surfaces. The bacteria it contains degrade organic detritus, accumulated sludge, and harmful gaseous compounds often trapped in the less accessible areas of the aquarium.
Thanks to its composition, including mangrove mud identical to that found in nature, it promotes an effective bacterial environment akin to natural processes.
Substrate Cleaner is capable of breaking down otherwise inaccessible phosphate deposits stored in the substrate or rocks. In association with Phos-Out 4 and Special Blend, these phosphates can be permanently eliminated from the aquarium.
By removing these internal nutrient sources, it also helps limit nitrate formation and stabilize water quality over the long term.
| Aspect | Biological Benefit |
|---|---|
| Substrate and rocks | Deep biological cleaning |
| Organic waste | Breakdown of accumulated sludge and detritus |
| Phosphates | Elimination of internal deposits and hidden sources |
| Difficult-to-access areas | Bacterial action under structures and decorations |
| Maintenance | Significant reduction of manual interventions |
Substrate Cleaner can be used from the start of the aquarium and then regularly for maintenance. It advantageously replaces repetitive mechanical interventions and limits the appearance of problematic areas in the substrate.
