ATI Zeolite Plus Natural Microporous Zeolite for Reef Aquarium

ATI Zeolite Plus is a microporous volcanic rock with a high clinoptilolite content. It is a completely natural zeolite mix, containing no chemical additives or dyes.

The complex microporous structure of the material gives it high adsorptive properties, suitable for mechanical and biological filtration in saltwater aquariums.

Structure and Functioning

Zeolite is a silica mineral with an appearance similar to feldspar. The internal and external surfaces can reach up to 600 cm² per cm³, offering a significant surface area for the colonization of organisms responsible for the nitrogen cycle.

Thanks to these characteristics, ATI Zeolite Plus acts as a natural ion exchanger, particularly for ammonium.

Action on Nutrients

ATI Zeolite Plus removes ammonia and ammonium. Its nutrient reduction function limits algae formation and helps improve the coloration of corals.

Due to its high porosity, zeolite also acts as an effective mechanical filter, allowing for the adsorption and biological degradation of heavy metals and toxic compounds.

Reef Aquarium Compatibility

ATI Zeolite Plus is perfectly suited for use in saltwater aquariums. The material is insoluble in water and does not release any toxic substances.

Application and Dosage

Recommended dosage: use 1 liter of zeolite for approximately 400 liters of aquarium water.

During the first use, the zeolite should be introduced gradually, in cumulative increments of about 10% each week, to allow the ecosystem to adapt progressively.

After a period of about 3 months, the zeolite can be completely replaced.
