Colombo Natura Plant Soil 10 L – Natural soil for pond plants

Colombo Natura Plant Soil is a natural pond soil, specially designed to ensure healthy growth and optimal blooming of aquatic plants. It is suitable for planting in baskets as well as direct use as pond substrate.

Natural and balanced composition

Colombo Natura pond soil is composed exclusively of natural raw materials such as clay and peat. This composition ensures excellent stability in water and provides all the essential nutrients necessary for rooting, growth, and blooming of pond plants.

Suitable for all pond plants

Colombo Natura Plant Soil is suitable for all types of pond plants, whether submerged, semi-submerged, or bank plants. It promotes strong and sustainable root development, essential for the good health of aquatic vegetation.

Use in baskets or as pond substrate

This soil can be used both in planting baskets or directly as a substrate. However, for better control of plant growth and easier pond maintenance, it is recommended to use suitable baskets.

It is advised to choose a basket larger than the plant's root system. For example, for a plant sold in a 9 cm pot, a basket with a minimum diameter of 20 cm is recommended.

Recommended planting technique

For optimal planting of pond plants, follow these steps:

1. Place a jute fabric liner inside the basket.
2. Add a layer of gravel at the bottom of the basket to ensure weighting.
3. Deposit a first layer of Colombo Natura Plant Soil.
4. Place the plant after slightly freeing the roots from the root ball.
5. Fill with soil around the root system and gently compact by hand.
6. Add a layer of gravel on the surface for finishing and to prevent the soil from escaping.

Ensure there is enough space for the stems to freely emerge from the substrate.
