Dactycid is an effective treatment against internal and external worms in aquarium fish, such as nematodes, skin worms (Gyrodactylus), and gill worms (Dactylogyrus). Most of these parasites are only visible under a microscope, although some intestinal worms can sometimes be observed outside the anus.
To calculate the volume of the aquarium in liters, use the following formula:
Length x width x average depth in decimeters.
Then deduct the volume occupied by plants, stones, sand, fossil wood, etc. In general, this deduction is about 10%, but can reach 30% in very densely stocked aquariums.
Shake the product well for 30 seconds before use.
Recommended dosage:
1 ml for 5 liters of aquarium water
1000 ml can treat up to 5000 liters
Use the provided doser and distribute the product in the water. Activate the air pump. It is advisable to perform a 25% water change before treatment, followed by a second 25% change after 48 hours. The treatment should be repeated after 14 days.
Do not filter on carbon or zeolite. UV lamps and other equipment should be turned off for 48 hours after treatment. Keep the filter running. One week after the last treatment, weekly water changes of 10 to 20% can be resumed.
This product can be harmful to certain invertebrates such as shrimp, snails, freshwater crayfish, frogs, elephant fish, and similar species. Its use is not recommended in the presence of these organisms.
Keep out of reach of children, between 4 and 32 °C. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately with the packaging or label.
Internal and external worms can cause weight loss, slimy excrement, difficulty breathing, or abnormal behavior. Their larvae can spread in the aquarium and contaminate other fish. Cerpofor Dactycid is designed to effectively fight these parasites when used as recommended.
