TUNZE Comline Streamfilter 3163 – Compact internal filtration for aquariums from 60 to 400 L

The TUNZE Comline Streamfilter 3163 internal filter is a complete filtration and circulation solution designed for freshwater or saltwater aquariums ranging from 60 to 400 liters. Thanks to its integrated Turbelle nanostream 3163.200 propeller pump, it ensures a powerful and even circulation of 1,800 l/h with extremely low power consumption.

This design combines several essential functions: mechanical filtration, surface and bottom suction, and water circulation, all while remaining compact, silent, and elegant. The Comline 3163 is the ideal technical core for a balanced and natural aquarium.

Comline Design: Performance and Compactness

The Comline® line embodies the TUNZE philosophy: to offer maximum performance in the smallest possible space. This multifunctional filter includes:

  • a surface suction effectively removing the greasy film,
  • a deep aspiration for sediments and heavy particles,
  • a rechargeable filtration chamber with fine or coarse wool, activated carbon, or any other filtering media,
  • the possibility of integrating a automatic immersion heater up to 75 W,
  • compatibility with the system Osmolator® TUNZE® for precise level regulation.

Thanks to its compact and discreet design, the Comline 3163 blends harmoniously into the aquarium decor without compromising its aesthetics. Its support Patented Silent Magnet Holder Ensures a secure fixation for glass up to 12 mm thick, without vibration or risk of detachment. An extension (ref. 6025.501) is available for glass up to 15 mm.

Turbelle nanostream pump 3163.200 integrated

The integrated propeller pump ensures a flow rate of 1,800 l/h with a consumption of only 3.5 W. This technology ensures:

  • a very quiet operation thanks to the Silence mounts and special bearings,
  • a flexible flow direction via the adjustable deflector,
  • a natural circular mixing reducing the need for additional pumps,
  • An exceptional energy efficiency and minimal maintenance.

The adjustable outlet allows for the creation of an optimal annular flow, promoting water circulation throughout the tank. In the event of a power outage, Turbelle® pumps can be connected to a 10–24 V DC power supply (battery, solar) using the TUNZE® safety connector.

Installation and setup

The filter easily attaches to a corner of the tank using the Magnet Holder, allowing convenient access to the filtration chamber. It can be installed in aquariums with a canopy using the provided silicone pads (14 mm or 19 mm). The bottom suction is adjustable: the tube should be placed 10 mm from the bottom for maximum efficiency.

An Osmolator® infrared sensor can be directly inserted at the back of the filter, ensuring a constant water level and optimal system performance.

Maintenance and safety

The Comline 3163 is designed for quick maintenance without tools. A complete cleaning once a year is recommended, or more frequently depending on the organic load. The filter media (wool, carbon, resins) can be easily replaced.

The filter can accommodate a standard immersion heater up to 75 W and a maximum length of 190 mm. It must always be positioned so that it slightly extends beyond the filter. The use of a residual current circuit breaker (maximum 30 mA) is mandatory.
