Plectorhinchus albovittatus, better known as the yellow-striped sweetlips, is a spectacular reef fish with an elongated and massive body. Its appearance is marked by stunning yellow longitudinal stripes running across a silvery body with golden reflections, giving it a noble and luminous look.
This fish is native to the Indo-Pacific Ocean and mainly inhabits lagoons and outer reef slopes, often found in small groups or pairs. It is renowned for its slow and elegant swimming, as well as its calm and non-aggressive behavior.
