The JBL ProFlora CO2 Valve is a solenoid valve designed as a complement to CO2 fertilization systems and CO2/pH controllers for planted aquariums. It allows for automatic control of carbon dioxide supply.
The solenoid valve allows for the cutting off or permitting of CO2 injection according to a defined program, for example via a timer or a CO2/pH controller, which are not provided.
The solenoid valve can be:
– inserted directly into the CO2 transport hose of the fertilization system
– mounted directly on a compatible JBL CO2 regulator
The automated operation allows for a targeted CO2 supply, for example only during the lighting phase, which contributes to more efficient CO2 use.
The solenoid valve operates at a low voltage of 12 V thanks to a safety transformer. Its power consumption is low, with an absorbed power of 0.8 W. The operation is silent and without significant heat emission.
Using a solenoid valve can save up to 50% of CO2 by interrupting the injection when it is not needed.
