Lighting and Flow
To maximize its brilliance and promote healthy growth, moderate to strong lighting is recommended, with an intensity around 200-300 PAR. A strong water flow is necessary to oxygenate its tissues and prevent sediment accumulation between its branches.
Water Parameters
Like all SPS corals, the Yellow Pocillopora eydouxi with Green Polyps requires stable and well-balanced water:
- Temperature: 24-26°C
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0 - 8.4
- KH: 7-9 dKH
- Calcium: 400-450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250-1350 ppm
- Nitrates: between 2 and 10 mg/L for optimal coloration
- Phosphates: between 0.02 and 0.08 mg/L
