It features a dark body with brown hues, highlighted by a white lateral spot, an orange-yellow band on its back, and a tail encircled in white, giving it a unique presence.
Native to the Western Pacific, particularly the reefs of Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, the Acanthurus japonicus is an active fish, sensitive to water quality and best kept in a large aquarium of more than 600 liters to provide optimal living conditions.
