The JBL PROAQUATEST Mg REFILL is a test kit designed to determine the magnesium (Mg) content in aquarium water. Magnesium plays a fundamental role in the chemical stability of water and in the growth of corals as well as red calcareous algae.

Measurement Principle

The measurement of magnesium is carried out in two steps. First, perform the calcium test, then the magnesium test according to the protocol. Next, subtract the calcium value from the value obtained during the magnesium test. The result corresponds to the actual magnesium content.

Number of Measurements

The number of measurements possible depends on the concentrations of calcium and magnesium present in the aquarium, with reagent consumption varying according to the measured values.

Package Contents

A magnesium test kit and a calcium test kit including five reagents, a plastic test tube, a syringe, and a measuring spoon. Reagent refills are available separately.

Usage Tips

Perform tests with clean equipment and rinse after each use. Store reagents away from light and moisture to ensure consistent accuracy of results.
