Ecsenius bicolor – Bicolor Blenny for Reef Aquariums
Ecsenius bicolor, also known as the bicolor blenny, is a small marine fish with an elongated body, known for its contrasting colors and endearing behavior. The front of the body is bluish-purple to black, while the back is adorned with a bright orange. The female sometimes has an overall darker shade.
A behavior as varied as its colors
The character of the Ecsenius bicolor varies greatly from one individual to another. Some specimens are very peaceful, while others are more territorial or lively, without a strict social rule applying. It is advisable to introduce it into an aquarium with live rocks and numerous hiding places, which will serve as both observation and resting areas.
Ideal for beginners and small tanks
Very robust, this fish tolerates small parameter variations well and is perfectly suited for beginner aquarists. It is suited for nano-aquariums starting from 60 liters, provided you offer it a rocky and stable environment.
Maintenance Conditions
- Recommended minimum volume: 60 liters
- Temperature: 23°C to 28°C
- pH: 8.0 to 8.5
- Behavior: territorial depending on the individual, discreet or lively
- Decor: live rocks and fine substrate
Feeding

Poisson amusant et pas farouche
Magnifique petite blennie dans le bac depuis plusieurs semaines. Elle observe les autres occupants mais ne se laisse pas faire pour autant. Il lui faut des cachettes pour son bien être et une alimentation diversifiée.

Échangé contre un Midas
Suite à un petit problème mon Blennie n'était pas pechable, un échange a été effectué pour un spécimen valant plus que la valeur de mon achat initial. Par conséquent je suis encore plus satisfait. Bien reçu et bien acclimaté à l'aquarium !
