Stenorhynchus seticornis, better known as the arrow crab, is an invertebrate native to the Caribbean. Recognizable by its triangular body and long slender legs, it offers a very original presence in a reef aquarium.
This crab generally lives hidden among live rocks and coral branches. Nocturnal, it mainly comes out in the evening to search for food. Although peaceful, it can be opportunistic if the aquarium does not provide it with enough food.
Minimum Recommended Volume: 100 liters
Temperature: 24°C to 27°C
Decor: many hiding spots with live rocks and natural substrate
Stenorhynchus seticornis is compatible with reef aquariums, provided it is well-fed. It does not attack corals or fish, but it is recommended to introduce it into an already balanced and mature tank.
It is possible that some individuals may arrive without a claw or a leg, mainly due to stress related to fishing. This is not problematic: full regeneration occurs naturally in a few molts.
The Caribbean arrow crab Stenorhynchus seticornis is an invertebrate that is both aesthetic, useful, and resilient, which will perfectly find its place in a well-structured reef aquarium.
