Elementals KH 1000 ml Fauna Marin – carbonate solution for marine aquarium

Elementals KH Fauna Marin is a stabilized multi-carbonate solution of very high purity intended for reef marine aquariums. It allows for targeted and precise compensation of carbonate hardness deficiencies, also known as alkalinity, a fundamental parameter for the chemical stability of the marine aquarium.

Role of carbonate hardness

Carbonate hardness plays an essential role in pH stability and in the calcification processes of corals and calcifying organisms. A stable KH value helps prevent abrupt pH variations and contributes to a balanced reef environment.

Reference values

The recommended carbonate hardness in marine aquariums is between 6 and 9 dKH. Any correction should be made gradually to avoid stressing the living organisms.

Recommended dosage

20 ml per 100 L of water increases carbonate hardness by 1 dKH.

The maximum recommended daily dose is 2 dKH, approximately 0.7 meq/L.
