Gobiodon okinawae – Yellow Clown Goby from Proaquatix Breeding
Gobiodon okinawae, also known as the yellow clown goby, is a small, brightly colored reef fish, appreciated for its uniform bright yellow coloration and calm behavior. It is ideal for nano-aquariums as well as community reef tanks, where it naturally perches on the branches of SPS corals, particularly Acropora.
A Peaceful and Easy to Acclimate Fish
Native to the western Pacific, from southern Japan to the Great Barrier Reef, Gobiodon okinawae lives in shallow areas, nestled among coral branches. This behavior is replicated in an aquarium, where it quickly chooses a coral branch as a shelter, often remaining loyal to it.
Behavior and Compatibility
This goby is peaceful and non-territorial, ideal for cohabitation with other calm fish, invertebrates, and corals. It may sometimes appear curious but causes no harm to the living decor. It is possible to keep a single one or a small group in an appropriate volume.
Proaquatix Breeding
The specimens offered are from Proaquatix breeding, known for the health and behavioral quality of its fish. These gobies are weaned onto inert foods and perfectly acclimated to life in an aquarium. Each fish is hand-sorted and free of deformities.

Feeding
- Small-sized marine pellets (acclimated)
- Enriched marine flakes
- Frozen Artemia, Mysis, oceanic plankton
- Chopped squid and meaty foods as a supplement
These gobies readily accept dry and frozen foods once settled in their environment.
