Common name: Blue Eleotris Fish. This fish has an elongated blue-silver body. For its well-being, it is preferable to have a sand bed in the aquarium so it can build its protective burrow. The edges of the aquarium must be secured to prevent any escape because, like any dart fish, it is capable of jumping out of the water.

Behavior and Compatibility
The Ptereleotris microlepis is a peaceful, sociable, and shy fish that lives in pairs or small groups. It adapts perfectly to a community reef tank and cohabits very well with other peaceful species as well as invertebrates.
It is recommended to provide it with an aquarium featuring rocks and a fine sand bed so it can dig a burrow to retreat to when stressed. Caution, like all dartfish, it is capable of jumping out of the water: a lid or edge protection on the aquarium is essential.
