Valenciennea puellaris – Orange-Spotted Goby Fish
Valenciennea puellaris, also known as the orange-spotted goby fish, is a highly appreciated species for its burrowing behavior and its ability to maintain the aquarium substrate. Its elongated silvery-white body is adorned with elegant orange spots that make it easy to identify.
An Efficient and Graceful Burrower
This goby spends most of its time on the ground, where it creates protective burrows using its mouth, sifting through the sand to extract microorganisms. It is an excellent cleaner of the reef aquarium floor while being a calm and peaceful fish.
For its well-being, it is essential to provide it with a fine sandy substrate mixed with some coral fragments, so it can build and maintain its burrow. This species enjoys living in pairs and is much more active and visible in this configuration.

Arrivé en forme, timide et invisible pendant 2 jours, mais s'est mis au travail et me nettoie le sol impeccable du matin au soir. Après il s'enferme dans sa grotte.
