The Natural White Reef Sand #1 Nature’s Ocean is a premium live reef sand composed of natural aragonite collected from marine environments. Each grain is naturally coated with an active bacterial biofilm, ready to immediately contribute to the biological balance of the aquarium.

Natural Living Biofilm

In the natural marine environment, each grain of sand is covered with a biofilm composed of bacteria and microorganisms. Nature’s Ocean Bio-Activ Live aragonite is harvested in a way that preserves this biofilm in its natural state, without artificial addition of bacteria.

The bacteria present are the result of millions of years of evolution and are preserved thanks to a patented process combined with a patented QX-23® saltwater enrichment solution, maintaining their viability until introduced into the aquarium.

Immediate Stabilization of the Tank

This live sand contributes to nitrification and biological stabilization of the tank as soon as it is installed. It helps limit the accumulation of nitrogenous waste, reduces nitrates, and curbs algae proliferation, while maintaining a pH suitable for reef aquariums.
