Tropic Marin Iod for Marine Aquarium

Iodine is one of the trace elements with the most varied biological effects in marine aquariums. As a component of thyroid hormones, it prevents goiter in fish. It is also essential for the molting of crustaceans and helps in the strengthening of their chitinous exoskeleton.

Coralline algae store iodine in their surface structure, while gorgonians incorporate it into their axial skeletons. Brown algae are also capable of accumulating significant amounts.

Tests have shown that the addition of iodine significantly improves light adaptation and the coloration of anthozoans, especially hard corals. In marine aquariums, iodine being an unstable element must be regularly supplemented. This solution provides iodine in its most effective form, as elemental iodine.

Application and Dosage

Add one drop of Tropic Marin Iod daily for every 200 L of aquarium water, preferably near a circulation pump to ensure proper distribution.

Missed doses should not be compensated. Overdosing can be harmful to animals.

Iodine requirements increase with population density. Adjust the dosage considering the maximum recommended dose.

Maximum Dosage

It is recommended not to exceed a dosage of 2 drops for every 200 L of aquarium water.
