Calcinus sp. Sri Lanka is a hermit crab native to the tropical coasts of South Asia. Active and discreet, it roams the reefs and sandy substrates in search of food, effectively contributing to the natural maintenance of the aquarium. This specimen is easy to maintain and appreciated for its robustness.
A versatile and useful detrivore
This hermit crab is omnivorous. It consumes both microalgae and food waste as well as small dead invertebrates. Its presence helps reduce the organic load in the aquarium and prevents the appearance of unwanted algae.
