Cerpofor Bactyfec Colombo 100 ml – Bacterial Treatment for Aquarium (up to 500 L)

Cerpofor Bactyfec is a treatment developed to effectively combat external bacterial infections in aquarium fish. It is especially indicated in cases of fin rot, gill rot, mouth fungus, dropsy, and skin ulcers.

Indications and Scope of Action

Cerpofor Bactyfec acts against external bacterial infections such as:

• Fin rot
• Gill rot
• Mouth fungus
• Dropsy
• Skin ulcers and lesions
• Hole disease

The treatment primarily targets the bacteria responsible for these pathologies, especially Cytophaga columnaris (formerly Flexibacter), which attack fish when the protective mucus layer is damaged.

Aquarium Volume Calculation

To determine the actual volume of your aquarium, calculate: length × width × average height in decimeters. Then deduct the volume occupied by decorations, sand, stones, wood, or plants. Generally, a deduction of 10% is sufficient, but it can reach up to 30% in very densely decorated aquariums.

Dosage and Usage Instructions

Shake the bottle well before use. The treatment is carried out over three consecutive days.

• Day 1: 1 ml for 15 liters of water
• Day 2: 1 ml for 15 liters of water
• Day 3: 1 ml for 15 liters of water

Use the provided doser and distribute the product evenly in the aquarium.

Conditions During Treatment

Since the active substances in Bactyfec are of natural origin, their dissolution can reduce the oxygen content of the water. It is therefore essential to ensure sufficient aeration throughout the treatment.

During the treatment:

• Do not use activated carbon or zeolite
• Disconnect UV lamps and associated equipment until one week after the treatment
• Keep the filter running
• Do not perform water changes

One week after the last day of treatment, it is possible to resume weekly water changes of 10 to 20%.

Compatibility and Precautions

Cerpofor Bactyfec is designed for standard freshwater aquariums, with a pH between 7 and 8.5 and a KH of 4 to 8 °DH. In aquariums with very specific parameters, effectiveness may vary.

The product is considered non-harmful to invertebrates such as shrimp, snails, crayfish, and frogs. However, due to their variable sensitivity, this compatibility cannot be guaranteed 100%.

This product is intended exclusively for freshwater aquarium fish. Keep in its original packaging, at a temperature between 4 and 32°C, out of reach of children. Avoid inhalation and contact with skin and eyes. In case of ingestion, immediately consult a doctor and present the packaging or label.
