Reef Calcium is a polygluconate organic calcium supplement designed to maintain calcium in reef aquariums without altering the pH.
Its formulation is based on highly bioavailable complexed calcium, allowing corals to absorb calcium with reduced energy expenditure, thus promoting faster and more efficient growth.
SEACHEM
Unlike ionic supplements, Reef Calcium uses organic calcium linked to a polygluconate. This structure allows calcium to penetrate coral tissues more easily while providing a metabolizable carbon source.
The product contains neither nitrogen nor phosphorus, making it safe for properly maintained reef systems without promoting algae proliferation.
Type: polygluconate organic calcium.
Concentration: 50,000 mg/L.
Function: maintenance of reef calcium.
Promotes coral growth.
No impact on pH.
No nitrate or phosphate.
100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, 4 L.
Add 5 ml per 80 L of water twice a week.
The dose can be increased according to coral growth response, without exceeding 15 ml per 80 L per day.
Each 5 ml dose increases calcium by approximately 3 mg/L.
Reef Calcium is primarily intended for calcium maintenance.
In case of significant deficiency, it is advisable to use an ionic calcium supplement such as Reef Complete or Reef Advantage Calcium to quickly restore the level, then maintain it with Reef Calcium.
Recommended calcium: 380 to 420 mg/L.
Recommended alkalinity: 3 to 6 meq/L (8 to 17 dKH).
Do not overdose: excess calcium can lead to alkalinity loss.
Do not mix directly with a carbonate supplement.
Space the addition of calcium and KH supplements by at least 30 minutes.
The calcium provided by Reef Calcium is detectable by the majority of calcium tests on the market.
The color and clarity of the product may vary by batch without affecting its effectiveness.
Reef Calcium is an organic calcium supplement intended for maintenance and growth optimization.
It perfectly complements ionic supplements like Reef Complete or Reef Advantage Calcium, used for rapid calcium increase.
