aquavitro vibrance™ is a highly concentrated source of naturally stabilized potassium iodide, intended for reef aquariums.

Iodide is an essential element for the health of invertebrates and the development of pigments in many corals and reef organisms.

Role of iodide in reef aquariums

Iodide plays a key role in the formation and maintenance of soft tissues in invertebrates, such as gorgonians and certain soft corals.

It also contributes to the development of pigments in corals, corallimorphs, and anemones, for both the brown-golden hues associated with zooxanthellae and the green and red accessory pigments.

Stability of iodide

In an aquarium environment, unstabilized iodide can transform into elemental iodine or iodate. Free iodine is biocidal, while iodate is not assimilable by corals and can become problematic at high concentrations.

Iodide is the only form of iodine directly assimilable by corals, making its stability essential for effective and safe supplementation.

Formulation and safety

aquavitro vibrance™ is formulated from naturally stabilized potassium iodide, with a high concentration of 10,000 mg/L.

The proprietary stabilization process prevents the conversion of iodide into free iodine, both during storage and under normal reef aquarium conditions.

Use in reef aquariums

aquavitro vibrance™ helps restore and maintain iodide levels close to those of natural seawater.

The product comes with a dropper to allow for precise and controlled dosing.
