aquavitro calcification™ is a highly concentrated calcium supplement, formulated to restore and maintain calcium levels close to those of natural seawater, without impacting pH.

The product combines two complementary forms of calcium to support the growth and health of corals in a reef aquarium.

Dual source calcium formulation

aquavitro calcification™ combines directly assimilable ionic calcium and gluconate-complexed calcium, which is bioavailable and easily absorbed by reef organisms.

Ionic calcium acts immediately, while complexed calcium allows for more efficient assimilation with reduced physiological expenditure.

Optimization of coral growth

Thanks to this formulation, it is not necessary to maintain excessively high calcium concentrations. Satisfactory growth of corals and coralline algae can be achieved with more moderate total calcium concentrations.

The formulation also helps to limit calcium precipitation phenomena and alkalinity depletion.

Biological and chemical stability

The gluconate polymer used does not accumulate and does not promote the growth of undesirable algae when used according to recommendations.

On the contrary, it provides a beneficial carbon source for corals, invertebrates, and denitrifying bacteria, contributing to the natural anaerobic denitrification process within live rocks and substrate.

Compatibility with other elements

The use of complexed calcium also facilitates the assimilation and stability of other elements such as strontium and magnesium, without causing excessive alkalinity consumption.

The product does not provide nitrogen or phosphorus and cannot cause algae proliferation in a properly maintained reef aquarium.

Use in reef aquarium

aquavitro calcification™ can be used daily and is compatible with carbonate supplements and the entire aquavitro reef range.

It can be dosed in close succession with other supplements, facilitating regular management of tank parameters.
