Reef Fusion 2 500 ml Seachem – Alkalinity Supplement for Reef Aquarium

Reef Fusion 2 Seachem is the alkalinity part of the two-component Reef Fusion system. It is formulated to restore and maintain alkalinity in reef aquariums by providing the essential carbonates for the growth of calcareous organisms.

Principle of the Reef Fusion System

The Reef Fusion system relies on two complementary supplements used together or separately according to the tank's needs. Reef Fusion 1 provides calcium, while Reef Fusion 2 supplies alkalinity. Used together, they help maintain stable levels of calcium and alkalinity necessary for healthy coral growth.

Reef Fusion 1

Reef Fusion 1 provides 100,000 mg/L of ionic calcium and also contains magnesium, strontium, boron, iron, manganese, and molybdenum at biologically appropriate levels.

Reef Fusion 2

Reef Fusion 2 contains a blend of carbonates and bicarbonates with an alkalinity of 4,400 meq/L. It is designed to maintain alkalinity in the reef aquarium and provide the indispensable carbonate for calcareous organisms.

Recommended Target Values

Calcium should be maintained between 380 and 420 mg/L and alkalinity between 3 and 6 meq/L to ensure suitable conditions for the growth of corals and other calcareous organisms.

Dosage Instructions

Dose the aquarium every 1 to 2 days. Shake well before use.

Add 1 ml of Reef Fusion 1 per 25 L of water in a high flow area. Wait a few minutes, then add Reef Fusion 2 at the same dose, which is 1 ml per 25 L, also in a well-mixed area.

It is recommended to add the two products at different locations in the aquarium.

This dose provides approximately 4 mg/L of calcium and 0.176 meq/L of alkalinity.

Separate Use

Both components can be used independently if calcium and alkalinity are not balanced. It is possible to adjust only the alkalinity with Reef Fusion 2 when calcium is already at the correct level.
