Pearl Beach is composed of pure aragonite, a natural form of calcium carbonate ideal for marine environments.

Its composition helps stabilize calcium, alkalinity, and pH, while limiting sudden pH drops in marine and reef aquariums.

Advantages of Dry Substrate

Pearl Beach is packaged dry and not "wet".

At equal weight, a bag of Pearl Beach contains about 35% more substrate than a wet gravel, which contains a significant amount of water.

The supposed presence of microfauna in wet substrates is practically limited to common bacteria, which are also present on dry substrates.

To accelerate the biological cycle of a new aquarium, the use of a dedicated bacterial product is more appropriate.

Mineral Composition

The Pearl Beach substrate has a natural mineral composition including calcium, magnesium, and strontium, contributing to the ionic balance of the tank.

Analyses are performed by plasma emission spectrometry according to the EPA 3050 method.

Installation

Rinse the substrate before use to remove residual dust.

When filling the aquarium, pour the water slowly to avoid disturbing the sand bed.

It is recommended to place a container on the substrate and pour the water into it so that it overflows gently.

A slight initial turbidity is normal and disappears quickly with mechanical filtration.
