Gray Coast™ Seachem 3.5 kg – Calcite substrate for marine and reef aquariums

Gray Coast™ is an all-natural calcite substrate designed for marine, reef, and tropical aquariums. Its mineral composition contributes to the stability of calcium and alkalinity while limiting significant drops in pH.

Main Features

Natural calcite substrate.

Suitable for marine and reef aquariums.

Helps stabilize calcium and alkalinity.

Rich in magnesium.

Behavior and Use in Aquariums

Gray Coast™ is sold dry, allowing for a greater quantity of substrate by weight compared to substrates sold wet. It provides a stable mineral support, naturally colonizable by the bacteria present in the aquarium.

Dry and wet substrates host similar bacteria. To accelerate the biological setup of a new aquarium, the use of a product specifically designed for this purpose is more appropriate.

Gray Coast™ Mineral Composition

Units expressed in ppm.

Installation and Water Setup

Rinse the substrate before use to remove any residual dust.

When filling the aquarium, add water slowly to avoid disturbing the Gray Coast™ substrate bed. It is recommended to pour the water into a container placed in the aquarium so that it gently overflows onto the gravel.

Initial cloudiness is normal. It can be eliminated using mechanical filtration such as filter wool. The use of a compatible water clarifier can speed up the clarification process.

Mineral substrate designed for long-lasting chemical stability in marine and reef aquariums.
