Meridian™ is a fully natural, oolitic aragonite substrate with a spherical to ovoid shape, designed for all marine and reef aquariums. It is a premium substrate intended for demanding reef systems.

Grain Size and Aquarium Behavior

The uniform grain size of Meridian™, ranging from 0.25 to 0.50 mm, is suitable for reef organisms and promotes good water circulation in the substrate. Its chemical composition contributes to the long-term stability of essential parameters.

Meridian™ is sold dry. You only pay for the mineral substrate, without unnecessary water, while benefiting from a naturally colonizable support by the bacteria present in the aquatic environment.

Installation and Water Setup

Rinse the substrate before use to remove any residual dust.

When filling the aquarium, add water slowly to avoid disturbing the Meridian™ bed. It is advisable to pour the water into a container placed in the aquarium so that it gently overflows onto the substrate.

A slight initial cloudiness is normal. It can be removed using mechanical filtration such as filter wool. The use of a compatible water clarifier can speed up the clarification.
