Rowa Phos D&D 250 g – High-Performance Phosphate Remover Resin

Rowa Phos is a highly active filtration material, specially developed for the efficient removal of phosphates in aquariums. It is renowned for its superior adsorption capacity compared to other phosphate remover resins available on the market.

This resin helps maintain very low phosphate levels, a necessary condition for limiting the proliferation of algae and cyanobacteria, both in freshwater and saltwater.

Targeted Removal of Unwanted Nutrients

Rowa Phos effectively adsorbs phosphates, as well as silicates and arsenic. Once saturated, the resin does not release any chemical compounds into the water, ensuring safe and stable use over the long term.

Longevity tests have shown no release even after several years of use.

Recommended Usage

For lasting results, the resin should be used continuously and replaced regularly, generally every 1 to 2 months depending on the phosphate load of the aquarium. Occasional use does not allow for sustainably low values.

In a reef aquarium, it is recommended to maintain a phosphate level below 0.015 ppm. In freshwater, slightly higher values can be tolerated.

Monitoring and Control

It is advisable to regularly measure the phosphate level to monitor the effectiveness of the resin. When the values rise, the resin should be replaced.

Note that many standard phosphate tests do not detect the very low concentrations needed in reef aquariums.
