HyperSorb is a synthetic filter media designed to offer high organic removal capacity while avoiding the classic drawbacks of activated carbon.
SEACHEM
HyperSorb effectively removes organic waste, toxic vapors, and other dissolved pollutants. In freshwater, it also contributes to stabilizing the ionic balance and helps control ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates.
It is compatible with marine, reef, brackish, and freshwater aquariums, from acidic to alkaline pH.
High capacity organic removal.
Non-leaching synthetic absorbent.
Economical substitute for activated carbon.
No impact on pH.
Minimal impact on trace elements.
Nearly 100% regenerable.
Use in a suitable filter bag.
250 ml treats up to 300 liters of water.
Rinse before use.
Place in an area with good flow.
Depletion is visible by a color change of the beads, turning from yellow to dark brown.
HyperSorb can be regenerated by soaking in a bleach and water solution, followed by complete neutralization with a suitable conditioner, according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
After proper regeneration, the adsorption capacity is almost fully restored.
HyperSorb is suitable for clear water tanks as well as tanks rich in organic matter. For maximum organic filtration in reef tanks, Purigen is more efficient, but HyperSorb provides a versatile and economical solution.
