Flourite Black Sand is a natural porous clay substrate that is specially fractured, designed to form a stable and durable soil bed in freshwater planted aquariums. Its dark appearance is particularly appreciated for highlighting plants and visual contrasts.
Natural porous clay sand.
Stable and durable substrate.
Chemically untreated.
Does not alter the water's pH.
Flourite Black Sand is designed to be used alone as the primary substrate but can also be mixed with other gravels according to aesthetic or technical preferences. No additives or substrate modifiers, such as laterite, are necessary.
Its porous structure promotes plant rooting and offers a durable support for biological development. The substrate is designed to remain in place throughout the aquarium's lifetime without needing replacement.
Flourite Black Sand is neither coated nor chemically treated and does not cause any changes to water parameters, making it compatible with a wide variety of freshwater plants and fish.
Although the substrate is pre-washed, rinsing is recommended before use to remove any residual dust from transport. When filling the aquarium, add water slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate bed.
It is advisable to place a container in the aquarium and pour the water directly into it, allowing a gentle overflow onto the substrate. An initial slight turbidity is normal and will clear up with mechanical filtration.
3.5 kg bag.
Flourite Black Sand provides an aesthetic, stable, and durable soil base for planted aquariums, with no chemical impact on the water and no special long-term maintenance required.
