Flourite Sand 3.5 kg Seachem is a natural mineral substrate specially designed for planted freshwater aquariums.

This is a sand version of the Flourite range, offering fine grain size while retaining the essential nutrients necessary for the growth of aquatic plants.

Ideal Substrate for Planted Aquariums

Flourite Sand is composed of stabilized natural porous clay, rich in iron and beneficial minerals for the roots of plants.

Its structure allows for excellent bacterial colonization and promotes optimal rooting, even for plants with fine roots.

Stability and Safety

Flourite Sand is neither chemically treated nor coated.

It does not alter the pH of the water and can be safely used in all freshwater aquariums, including those housing fish, shrimp, and sensitive plants.

Durability

This substrate is designed to last the lifetime of the aquarium.

It does not deplete, degrade, or require replacement over time.

Installation

Although pre-cleaned, Flourite Sand being a natural product, rinsing is recommended before use to remove residual dust from transport.

When filling the aquarium, it is advised to add water slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate.

Initial slight turbidity is normal and quickly disappears with mechanical filtration.
