Flourite Black is a natural porous clay gravel specially fractured to provide a stable and durable substrate in planted freshwater aquariums. Its deep black color enhances the plants, fish, and visual contrasts of the decor.
Natural porous clay gravel.
Stable and durable substrate.
Not chemically treated.
Does not alter the pH of the water.
Flourite Black is designed to be used alone as the primary substrate, but can also be mixed with other gravels according to aesthetic or technical preferences. No substrate modifiers, such as laterite, are necessary.
Its porous structure promotes plant rooting and provides a durable support for biological development. The substrate is intended to remain in place for the entire lifespan of the aquarium without requiring replacement.
Flourite Black is neither coated nor chemically treated and does not alter water parameters, ensuring optimal compatibility with freshwater plants and fish.
Although the substrate is pre-washed, a preliminary rinse is recommended to remove any residual dust from transport. When filling the aquarium, add water slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate bed.
Place a container in the aquarium and pour water directly into it to allow a gentle overflow onto the substrate. A slight initial turbidity is normal and will disappear with appropriate mechanical filtration.
7 kg bag.
Flourite Black provides an aesthetic, stable, and durable soil base for planted aquariums, with no chemical impact on the water and no long-term maintenance required.
