Flourite Sand 3.5 kg Seachem is a natural mineral substrate specially designed for planted freshwater aquariums.

This is a sand version of the Flourite range, offering a fine grain size while retaining the essential nutritional properties for the growth of aquatic plants.

Ideal substrate for planted aquariums

Flourite Sand is composed of stabilized natural porous clay, rich in iron and beneficial minerals for the roots of plants.

Its structure allows excellent bacterial colonization and promotes optimal rooting, even for plants with fine roots.

Stability and safety

Flourite Sand is neither chemically treated nor coated.

It does not alter the water's pH and can be safely used in all freshwater aquariums, including those hosting fish, shrimp, and sensitive plants.

Durability

Setup

Although pre-cleaned, since Flourite Sand is a natural product, rinsing is recommended before use to remove residual dust from transport.

When filling the aquarium, it is advised to add water slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate.

Slight initial cloudiness is normal and quickly disappears with mechanical filtration.
